How to Choose the Right Interior Designer in Dubai
Dubai has no shortage of interior designers — the questions you ask before signing determine whether your project finishes on time, on budget, and looking the way you imagined.
Start by asking whether the studio designs, fabricates or manages trades in-house, or whether every stage is subcontracted separately. A studio with its own joinery workshop carries single-point accountability for quality and schedule; one that outsources everything is really coordinating several independent businesses on your behalf, which is where most delays and finger-pointing originate.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed projects similar in scale and type to yours, not just striking render images. Renders show intent; finished photography and, ideally, a site visit to a past project show whether the studio actually delivers what it proposes, and how the materials and joinery are ageing after handover.
Finally, get the proposal itemised — joinery, MEP, finishes and labour listed separately rather than a single lump sum. An itemised quote tells you exactly what you are paying for, makes it possible to value-engineer specific lines if your budget shifts, and is a strong signal that the studio is confident enough in its pricing to show its working.
