The single biggest mistake we see in small Dubai apartments is furniture chosen for a showroom rather than the room. Every piece in a compact layout should do at least two jobs — a console that hides storage, a dining table that seats six but folds to two, a media unit that also divides the living and sleeping zones in a studio.
Joinery beats furniture in almost every small-apartment brief we take on. A built-in wardrobe wall recovers floor space a freestanding closet never could, and custom shelving around a window seat turns a dead corner into the most-used seat in the home.
Light and reflection matter more than square footage. We specify a single strong light source per zone rather than scattered downlights, and use mirrored or glossy joinery fronts sparingly to bounce marina or skyline views deeper into the room.
